During her time serving in the United States Navy, bedazzling became a creative outlet that helped her navigate PTSD, anxiety, depression, and stress. Creating these custom pieces brought peace during difficult moments and allowed her to express herself through creativity.
After serving 30 years in the Navy and retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer, Serrita discovered that what began as therapy could also bring joy to others.
